Payroll
Most of my clients run their own payroll through QuickBooks because it's so easy to use. I recommend choosing the 'Full Service' payroll option (payroll provider is responsible for filing all payroll related tax returns). Intuit payroll doesn't offer employee benefit plan administration; for that reason some employers prefer to use other payroll providers. In that case I will map the payroll entry to sync into your accounting software; or record the payroll entry manually if automation isn't possible. I am proficient in payroll/HR regulations; I will set up your payroll system; prepare or correct, and file any delinquent payroll tax returns/reports; and clean up your payroll records. I can also point you to sites that manage employee benefits and routine HR tasks.
If you prefer I handle your payroll processing for you, I'll be happy to.
It's important to be aware of employee regulations; please contact me with any questions. The most common question I get is whether or not a worker can be paid as a contractor instead of an employee. See my featured article "1099 vs W2". Please check with me if you're not sure. I will also prepare and eFile 1099's for your contractors; note that the federal due date changed from Feb 28 to Jan 30 beginning in 2017.
